If you’re missing teeth, Patton Smiles is here to restore your smile with high-quality removable dentures. Our custom-fitted dentures provide both cosmetic enhancement and functional benefits for patients dealing with tooth loss.
Each set of dentures is personalized to fit the unique needs of every patient. We start by taking impressions of your jaw and mouth to create a model. This model allows us to design dentures that fit perfectly, considering factors like color, shape, and fit. The denture is then crafted by a skilled technician in a dental lab, ensuring precision and comfort. We may need to make minor adjustments to guarantee your dentures remain comfortable and secure.
There are two main types of dentures: conventional complete dentures and partial dentures.
Conventional Complete Dentures:
These dentures are necessary when a patient needs to replace all of their upper or lower teeth. They’re made after the gums have fully healed and reshaped. Losing teeth can affect facial structure, making you look older and impacting speech. Conventional complete dentures replace all teeth in the upper or lower jaw, providing support for your facial structures and restoring your ability to eat and speak confidently.
Partial Dentures:
Also known as dental bridges, partial dentures replace one or more missing teeth. They not only enhance appearance but also prevent adjacent teeth from shifting or rotating. Typically, crowns are placed on surrounding teeth, anchoring the replacement teeth in place. We ensure that the replacement teeth match the natural teeth, providing a seamless smile.
After receiving dentures, it’s essential to follow up with your dentist for adjustments and maintenance. Regular brushing with a soft bristle brush and non-abrasive cleanser helps prevent plaque buildup. Dentures should be evaluated every five to ten years for potential refitting or replacement.
